EXCITING NEWS! A NEW BABY

Hello there familia! Today is an exciting day because I get to share some news with you all. Nelson and I are expecting a new member to our familia in October of this year and we couldn’t be more excited about it. 

This news came to us as a big surprise earlier this year shortly after my 40th birthday. After everything we have been through since selling our house in Georgia and moving to Tennessee, God decided to bless us with a new little bundle of joy. 

It’s amazing what life throws your way. This is part of the reason why it took me so long to start posting and making videos this year. 

See, this news of happiness has come after so much sadness. I expected a baby girl back in 2018 and came to find that her little heart stopped beating when I went in for my 16 week check up. I had a missed miscarriage so I had to be induced in the hospital and deliver my baby. We said our goodbyes and went back to taking care of the rest of our children. 

This experience was especially hard and it took its toll on me, but we kept moving forward. 

I had hoped that I would conceive again in the future, but the opportunity never came. And once I turned 40 I literally looked at myself in the mirror and thought ” That’s it. I guess it’s no more babies. I am 40 now,” and I accepted it. 

Lo and behold God had other plans and a couple of weeks after my birthday I found out I was pregnant. 

Though it hasn’t come without its own scare as my husband had to take me to the ER just as I had reached 16 weeks during this pregnancy. You can imagine what was going on in our heads. 

Thankfully, 2 IVs later, we went home knowing that our baby’s heartbeat was strong and all would be okay. 

However, we still proceeded very cautiously and waited until we finally felt comfortable with sharing the news. Of course, there came a time where we could not hold on to our secret any longer as it was getting pretty obvious. Naturally my subscribers began asking questions. 

There is definitely a lot more to this story and this definitely has affected our plans on the homestead, so Nelson and I sat down and recorded a video so that we can tell you how everything came about, the journey we have been on and how we are doing things differently than what we had originally planned when we moved up here.

The support, love and prayers we have received so far have been amazing and we are so blessed to have such a kind and amazing familia online. This baby is anticipated by more than us and it is so beautiful to imagine that this baby is loved by so many people already.
